RARE Blues track by this Great Blues Songwriter, Jessie Mae Robinson, " JESSIE MAE'S BLUES " b/w, " THAT'S HIS SECRET " 78 rpm on US Discovery label.

Jessie Mae Robinson was born in 1919 and died in 1966 at the young age of 47. Her most active years were during the '50's and '60's. This hard to find track was recorded, very early in her career, in 1952. Not many people have heard of this lady but many will instantly recognize the songs she wrote, including, "LET'S HAVE A PARTY", which was covered by many top artists including Elvis, Wanda Jackson, Led Zeppelin, and Paul McCartney.  Other songs included "I WENT TO YOUR WEDDING", "COLD COLD FEELING", "MONEY'S GETTIN' CHEAPER". The lady made very few recordings, spending a great deal of time composing great R&B tracks. This recording, "JESSIE MAE'S BLUES" appears to be her first recording under her name Jessie Mae Robinson on the small indie label Discovery - Los Angeles, CA 1952.
