Description
I purchased this sealed and it was played twice, the first time on 3/19/24 for the 53rd anniversary and again last night against the UHQR set along with a 45rpm Clarity cut of side A2 from Classic Records. The bottom line is that the Classic Records pressing sounds darker than the UHQR press, even though that sounds wicked good, the darker sound probably fits the album better. Getting down to brass tacks the vinyl is scored as EX. Straight out of the bag it had surface marks (Classic Records, even the Zeppelin ones, always had marks to some degree) and the cumulative play was in the EX+/NM- range. Track A1 had a total of 8 what sounded like missed dust flecks/super light ticks and played in the EX-/VG+ because of that, along with a bit of light surface noise at the start of the track. This light surface start was also present on B1. B4, a quiet track, had a bit more surface noise as did that start and finish of B5, the quiet sections playing more in the EX range. Overall the play is all there and sounds wicked good.
The sleeve is a generic white sleeve with the label title on the top right corner.
Album will be mailed in a cardboard mailer between cardboard with bubble wrap. If you have any questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
