Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
INCREDIBLY RARE 1st UK pressing on the pink Island bullseye label with NO E.J. Day credit on the rear cover (on the bottom of the more common bullseye pressing it has "Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London W.11."), NO STEREO text on the spine (the more common pressing has it) and the text on the labels is lower than the more common pressing. All the things you want to see (or not see, as is the case here) with this LP. Inner gatefold pop-up of the band is completely intact, beautiful and has the E.J. Day credit in white at the feet of the members on the right hand side like it should!! Labels have the distinctive ring ridges with rough textured surfaces and "Made In England" is printed at 6:00 on both sides. Includes original poly-lined inner sleeve with Patent Pending stamp in the lower right hand corner. LP is a beautiful VG++ with a few barely visible paper scuffs and labels are gorgeous with no marks or writing. Cover is VG++ as well with just a hint of wear on very tips of the corners, barely a hint of ring on the rear and a hint of wear on the edge of the front gatefold on the right hand side. Colors on the front and inside gatefold are vibrant and bold. See photos for close up details. You will not be disappointed.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
