Description
Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick vinyl.
This is the 1997 reissue by EMI as part of the ‘EMI 100’ range to celebrate 100 years of EMI.
Pressed on 180g virgin vinyl and cut all-analogue from the original analogue master tapes.
Replicates the complex fold-out newspaper sleeve of the original, which is lots of fun and written by the band. The top of the sleeve is scuffed up a bit as you can see in the photos. This is due to the sleeve being slightly bigger than a regular record sleeve and not fitting a record rack perfectly. It can be trimmed off if preferred but it never bothered me and kind of adds to the newspaper look.
I’ve owned this from new when it was released in 1997 and only ever played it a handful of times as I have a couple of copies of it and it sounds wonderfully warm and crankable compared to the recent remix.
The vinyl is in as-new condition though there are a few inaudible hairlines that you can see when you hold it up to the light. These where there when bought new and refuse to show up in the photos. Just calling them out for transparency.
Included are a Mobile Fidelity audiophile anti-static inner sleeve and PVC outer sleeve.
