I am selling a small batch of original or early press Jethro Tull records.  None of the records are mint and some play better than others so please listen to the albums that interest you first before bidding.  The cover for 'This Was' is still in very nice condition, nicely laminated with no damage to the spine (see photos).  Playback is overall quite nice but there are audible clicks in places.

LISTEN BEFORE BIDDING
Listen to the whole record before bidding (audio is not visible or playable on mobile apps).  If you are intending to make a bid please play and listen to the audio of the record to judge for yourself.

Jethro Tull – This Was LP notes:
UK release on Island records (ILPS 9085) from 1968
Original rough textured pink Island labels with white 'i' logo
Stereo version
Laminated gatefold cover (unlaminated on inner of gatefold)
Basing Street, London address on rear of sleeve
Printed and made by E.J. Day, London
The labels are in excellent condition with signs of spindle marks
Playback is excellent with virtually no surface noise except some light crackle/clicks in places

NOTE: Although the vinyl is only graded VG playback is better than its visual grading.  The album plays with mainly light crackle in places apart from some light clicking on a few tracks.

Album cover grading (EX overall):
Front and back covers are still in excellent condition, some creasing to inner of gatefold, light scuffing, NO laminate peel
No writing on labels
No scuffing on edges of cover
No scuffing to spine

Vinyl grading (VG+ overall):
Side 1: EX (a few light surface/sleeve removal marks)
Side 2: VG (a few light surface/sleeve removal marks)
NOTE:  I have downgraded side 2 to VG because there are a few manufacturing marks which cause a few clicks on playback (see photo)

Matrix numbers (and runout groove markings):
Side 1: ILPS+9085+A2
Side 2: ILPS+9085+B2

Vinyl notes:
Both sides have been played on a Rega RP1 turntable with an Ortofon OM5E cartridge (tracking weight: 1.5g - 2.0g) and listened to on a pair of high end Sennheiser headphones.

A-side:
Virtually no surface noise, some light crackle/clicks in places, excellent playback

B-side:
Virtually no surface noise, some light crackle/clicks in places, excellent playback

The records are sent in new good quality record mailers with 2 stiffeners.  The vinyl is always removed from the covers to avoid seam splits in transit.

I tend to be over critical of a records condition as it is not my intention to misrepresent what I am selling.  I want the buyer to feel what they have bought is as described although not everyones opinion of its condition will be the same as mine.  If you have any doubts or questions about this record, please ask me and I will try to be as helpful as I can.

Please read all the descriptions and P&P charges before bidding.
