Here is Jethro Tull’s landmark LP “AQUALUNG”, and it’s the very uncommon QUADRAPHONIC PRESSING!!!

In this auction:

• “AQUALUNG” LP by JETHRO TULL

• This is Chrysalis Records CH4 1044.

• It is a QUADRAPHONIC PRESSING (QUADRADISC).

• While “AQUALUNG” was originally released on the Reprise Records label in 1971, this Quadraphonic Pressing on Chrysalis was released in 1974.

• Please refer to the LP’s rear cover and labels for a listing of tracks, but you know how EXCELLENT this LP was when it was issued and still is more than 40 years later. It’s a landmark LP, as well as a signature LP of Jethro Tull, that has withstood the test of time, for sure, and Jethro Tull, with the song-writing and instrumental talents of Ian Anderson on flute, ranks near the top as one of Rock & Roll’s greatest bands.

• The GATE-FOLD COVER is in WEAK VG CONDITION. Overall, the front and rear slicks show moderate wear. There is very light partial ring wear on the rear cover. There is moderate wear on the top seam and spine and on the corners at the top and bottom of the spine and on the corner at the top of the opening. The blemish that makes this cover “weak” VG condition is that it has signs of some past water or moisture (a few slight/light ripples) along the opening but primarily on the lower right corner. There is no paper loss on the front cover or inside the gate-fold, but there is some slight paper loss at the lower left corner of the rear cover. (see images). There is also some “feathering” of the bottom right corner of the front cover and bottom left corner of the rear cover and a nicely-repaired 5-inch seam split on the bottom seam near the opening. NEVERTHELESS, as you can see in the images, the COVER STILL LOOKS QUITE NICE, FRONT, REAR and INSIDE the GATE-FOLD!

• The VINYL is in STRONG VG+ CONDITION.

• ALSO INCLUDED is the 10 & ¾ -inch X 10 & ¾ -inch TWO-SIDED INSERT with SONG LYRICS and B&W COVER IMAGES printed on both sides in Near Mint Condition

FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (P for Poor, F for Fair, G for Good, G+ for Good Plus, VG- for Very Good Minus, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
