60's mod crime-jazz soundtrack by S.D. Burman, clearly assisted by his son R.D. Burman. Includes a monstrous instrumental crime-jazz track in 60's style: 'Dance Music'. This track doesn't have one intro, it doesn't have two intro's, no, it doesn't has three intro's... It has seven! And after that, it's intermezzo's all along!! Everything comes along: frantic crime-jazz horns, groovy vibes, surf guitar, big band, spanish trumpet, large Indian orchestras, James Bond himself, Groovy Rock & Roll with funky flutes, traditional raw Indian rhythm loops. In barely 2 minutes! And here's the total enigma: you are right into the groove from the very first second. It is completely organic!! How, how...how????
This album is FULL of great tracks. Loads of percussion, great grooves and surprising moves & sounds. Again SD proves to be composer of Bollywood's most beautiful songs. 'Baithen Hain Kya Uske Pas' is a cool Helen Nightclub jazz track, "OTHON MEN AISI BAAT" is a showcase for all kinds of percussion imaginable and turns into a tribal ersatz song. And LOTS more. Great cover art too!
