Even all these qualities cannot fully describe her. In this album you may be able to feel just a little of her warm personality that God has endowed her with. She is not only a mother of two teenagers, April Lynn and Michael, a housewife, Ohio State Champion Cake Baker of 1970, singer, youth choir director, but a wonderful pastor's wife also. They say in back of every good man is a good woman and Jewell is that and more. Backing her husband Ralph, who is a successful pastor, radio and television preacher, pastoring one of the leading congregations in the Church of God, they make a real team. Jewell is soloist and choir director on "Christ Now" WXIX TV, Channel 19, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45215, shown at 8:30 A.M. each Sunday morning. On this album there are some well presented, wonderful songs. Some you have heard before and some Jewell has been inspired of God to write. Singing harmony is Dennis Whitaker, age 14, and April Lynn Turner, Jewell's daughter, age 15. These two teenagers are from the Joy Time Singers, the youth choir that Jewell directs. This choir has sung and traveled throughout many states. God has given Jewell so many blessings which probably is the reason for the title of her latest long play album, "I Won't Ask For More". One of the songs she has written was so inspired by an experience in the hospital with a dying woman. The title of this song is "Pray My Friend". Another song she has written is "Hold Onto My Hand". Also, for a special friend she has recorded "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You". I'm sure you will enjoy all the songs and the spirit in which they are sung. Jewell was a majorette in high school at McDowell, Kentucky with the marching band and is now a real leader in the marching band on its way to glory. She was converted to Christ in March of 1956 at the Grand Avenue Church of God, in Middletown, Ohio. I'm glad to have been her pastor for a few years until God called Ralph and her to the Cincinnati area to pastor. May this album become one of your most cherished possessions.
