Description
"Key to a Fantasy," by Jim Ballou, released in the U.S. in 1988. Great and largely under-the-radar private lp of twee strum pop out of, of all places, Idaho. Very cool record - it's in the camp of American private outsider records, and the cover leads one to think it's bland AOR pop - but the music is pure C86 guitar pop, strongly reminiscent at times of The Hit Parade or Captain Cocoa - and yet the C86 indie camp seems to be wholly unaware of this record, a classic for the genre. In MINT condition, still sealed (samples below from another open copy). Please note that my scanner cannot capture the entire breadth and width of the record cover.
