Excellent original copy, 1st press white label promo, that was serviced to radio. The vinyl looks pristine and maybe never played. The gatefold cover has a ding and crease or two, a mark at the front top made by the glue that attached the inner booklet when manufactured. The 8 page large format booklet attached to the inside gatefold cover is intact and securely anchored.

In 1978 seven years after Jim Morrison’s tragic death, and five years after the breakup of the remaining band members, this album was produced from tapes of Morrison’s poetry recorded in 1969 and 1970. The remaining band reunited and laid down tracks behind the spoken word. Controversial at the time, and criticized by some as an exploitation of Morrison’s poetry not intended for this type of treatment. Over time, the project has been lauded as an artistic presentation tastefully produced.

This original copy is an excellent version to play and collect, and for Jim Morrison fans young and old, an important album to have.
