Description

This is a very rare double LP tribute to the late great Ohio songwriter Jim Shepard of V-3 and Vertical Slit. 'Matter Dominates Spirit? A Tribute to Jim Shepard'. This set was, I believe, only limited to a pressing of 500 copies.

It includes tracks from Shepard's side-project Clown Surgery as well as many cover versions of his songs, including Robert Pollard's version of 'Bristol Girl' (this Pollard recording can ONLY be found here, Pollard/GBV fans), as well as vibrant renditions by Ron House, Don Howland, Cloud Tiger, Moviola, Nudge Squidfish and many others.

Includes handwritten liner notes by Ron House.
