Description
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis Bold As Love
(Track 612 003 UK LP 1967)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated gatefold sleeve, which has inner flipbacks. It comes with its original polythene-lined company inner sleeve.
The record has smooth Track labels & 1st press A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. Unfortunately there is a fault with the vinyl, this is explained below.
Gatefold Sleeve: Some mild laminate peeling at the front sleeve opening. There is some mild rubbing wear at the corner tips too. VG+ condition.
Vinyl: Unfortunately there is a small scratch on the track "Castles Made Of Sand". It causes some clicks and also a couple of bits of distortion. The click lasts for about half of the track. It does not jump on my system. It's a shame because otherwise it's a fairly clean copy. Visually I would grade this disc as VG+, but because of the aforementioned scratch, & audio distortion, on one track only, I will grade it Fair+ condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. Otherwise the LP plays very well indeed. With only light crackle in some of the quieter places.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40. Overseas buyers will add £5.25 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
