Description

Original UK black Track label stereo later 1st press LP,
Recorded after his appearance at Woodstock with an interim group that included Billy Cox, Hendrix began developing new songs and recording demos. When Buddy Miles became involved, he and Cox agreed to record a live album with Hendrix to be used to settle a contract dispute with a former manager. The new material, influenced by Cox's and Miles' musical approaches, signaled a new soulful direction for Hendrix.
This is the later UK first press after the Puppet Cover was withdrawn, with the 'Band Of Gipsies' label text error and the earliest A//1 B//1 matrices and 1-1- stampers.
The matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two very faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & punchy listen!!   The matrix nos. are; 2406002, A-1 mother stamper 1-1-28, B-1 mother stamper 1-1-21.
This is one of the later copies of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
