Description
Original UK Track Record first pressing of the highly collectible "Puppet Cover" edition of Band of Gypsys.
This is the desirable UK sleeve featuring the controversial puppet artwork, complete with an early A//1 / B//1 matrix pressing.
The record has been professionally ultrasonically cleaned and fully play-tested.
Visual Grade: Good
The record shows numerous surface marks and scratches consistent with regular use. There is one feelable scratch on Side 1 (please see photographs).
Playback Grade:
Side 1 Plays through completely with no skips or sticking. There is noticeable background crackle throughout playback, although the music remains strong, clear and enjoyable.
Side 2 Unfortunately has several skips and one repeating stick.
This record is being sold with full disclosure of these faults, and the price reflects its condition.

Original UK "Puppet Cover" sleeve.
Condition approximately G/VG-
General age-related wear including:
Edge wear
Corner wear
Laminate creasing
Small areas of laminate lifting
Wear to the top seam
Split side seam
General shelf wear consistent with over 50 years of age
Despite the wear, the sleeve still presents well and remains a desirable example of this scarce cover.

✔ Supplied in a new archival-quality polyethylene outer sleeve
Playback was carried out using:

Audio-Technica AT95SH Shibata cartridge
Pioneer SA-9800 integrated amplifier
Linn Isobarik loudspeakers
Packing:
The record will be securely packed in a proper record mailer with stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve before dispatch.
