Jimi Hendrix: Band Of Gypsys puppet sleeve 1970

 

Polydor 2406 002 Original Australian Polydor release with the fully laminated puppet sleeve cover.

 

Cover VG++ (In great shape. Slight wear on spine. Probably as good as you’re going to find)

 

Record VG++ (In great shape)

 

This was Jimi Hendrix’s last official release before his passing. A great live LP from the master rock guitarist.

 

I had the good fortune of seeing him live in concert when I was living in Sweden as a kid. A great live performer and artist. Sadly missed.

 

A note for collectors:

 

Early Australian Polydor releases up to the mid ‘70s had the following rim text “DISTRIBUTED BY PHONOGRAM RECORDINGS PTY LIMITED. The text was then changed omitting the word RECORDINGS. This text was also found on many covers.

 

The black Polydor label was changed during 1969 to the red version.
