Decent copy of the 1970 live album (recorded live at Fillmore East, New York) released on Track Records (Track Super 2406 002) with the original "Puppet" sleeve featuring puppets of Hendrix himself, Bob Dylan, Brian Jones (of the Rolling Stones) and legendary UK disc jockey John Peel. This sleeve was withdrawn shortly after its release allegedly because of Brian Jones's death and Bob Dylan's motorcycle accident making Hendrix superstitious.
The Band of Gypsys was formed after the break up of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and consists of Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles and Billy Cox.

Condition is at least EX. The sleeve has no dents, tears or seam splits but is a little bit worn along the top and bottom edges. Most annoyingly there is a large piece of white sticking plaster which is stuck on the top left hand corner and wraps right round to the top right hand corner of the rear sleeve - see photographs. I am scared to try to remove this as I think it will probably tear the sleeve. If the winning bidder wants to try to remove it - good luck to you !
The playing surfaces are in very good condition. Side 2 has a couple of very minor scratches but these are not deep and do not really sound. Both sides have a few little ticks and clicks on playback but nothing persistent and nothing that really detracts from the music.
