Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland (1968) - Early Pressing Track 613008/613009
See Pictures for visual condition. I`ve tried to depict the condition of the double album as accurately as possible with nothing masked.
I use the Record Collector Magazine Guide as a grade.
Sleeve: G++ for it`s age. The inner paper sleeves are not original.
Vinyl: VG+ on both discs. There are clicks and pops in quieter areas but this has to be expected for an album which is 45 years old plus. There are some noticable surface marks but these do not affect playback (the record has been playtested) and the vinyl has a lovely warm, rich sound.
As far as I know I am only the third owner of this album.
There is much speculation as to which is the first pressing of this album... I have done extensive research and I think only the true vinyl experts can provide a solution to this. I am settling that it is definitely an early pressing, but cannot personally state that it is an original.
The sleeve as you will see in the pictures is definitely aged. There is some crinkling in the laminate on the outer plus a sticker mark, one small tear in the upper right corner and the centre spine is worn. There is also ring wear on the front cover.
The vinyl looks good.. There are spindle marks but nothing unusual for it`s age.
This album may benefit from a professional clean but I do not have the equipment to do so. I am (hopefully!!) being hyper critical here. You may find the record to be in better condition than I`ve said, but I`m trying to be completely honest and open.
