Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland 1968 FIRST PRESS VINYL BLUE TRACK LIST with ghost track listing.
This auction is for an original 1968 first press vinyl Electric Ladyland double album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience WITH THE RARE BLUE TEXT TRACK LIST
There is much debate about "the fist press" and i will let you make up your own mind (links provided below)
BUT There is no doubt that the BLUE track listing is the rarer of the two versions and this is one Also has ghost text under track listing (visable in photo hopefully) This ghost text version is part of 'day of release' copies, along with the white type regular first version.
this copy is in very good condition for its age and has the scratched out matrix numbers (as shown in photos) It also has both the undercut laminate and the ghost listing beneath the blue listing. Regretably the original paper record slips have been replaced
Yes it does have a couple of minor stylus scratches but these do not effect the listening pleasure (does not jump ect). This record has not been cleaned yet no hiss or crackles could be heard (thru headphone) when test played. There are spindal marks in the centre of the record on all 4 sides The laminate has slight lifting (as can be seen in the main pic), it has no indentations where it has been used for a writing pad base. and more importantly it has no writing (names, numbers ect) or sticker reside anywhere The spine is unblemished although the corners and lower edge do show shelf wear again this is minimal.
