Cover condition: VG++. Top and bottom sides are in tact. Front left side has a slit of about 1”. Other than that, the cover is as pics are shown.

Record condition: Between VG++ and EX-, both records are clean and play great and show minimal signs of use with minor scuffles. No skips

Record is played, tested and inspected. I’m not a professional grader but do the best to my ability.

Has the controversial album cover featuring naked women that was quickly banned. Even more rare as this item has the sought after black and white "Track Record" label not the later orange Polydor one!

Many believe that the early Blue Text copies were the first printed, however, alot of people have claimed that pre-release 'white text' copies existed first, which now seems to be an accepted fact (see discogs.com) given the 'proof' of a newspaper article showing a record shop room decorated with White text covers around the time of release. Considering the very early matrix numbers of this item, there is a huge probability that this is one of those FIRST released 'White Text' pressings!

Background...

Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the final studio album released before Hendrix's death in 1970. A double album, it was the only record from the Experience produced by Hendrix. The band's most commercially successful release and its only number one album, it was released by Reprise Records in the United States on October 16, 1968, and by Track Records in the UK nine days later. By mid-November, it had reached number one on the U.S. charts, spending two weeks there. In the UK it peaked at number six, where it spent 12 weeks on the chart.

The much sought after banned gatefold is good. Shows not only the naked ladies, but of course the 'White Ghost Text'.
