Description of the record:
This is a double album by “The Jimi Hendrix Experience” called “Electric Ladyland”. This is the 1984 repress on the polydor label catalogue number SPDLP3 2310 269/270; matrixes 2310269A//5, 2310270B//4, 2310270C//4 and 2310269D//4. The outer sleeve has been graded as VG; some minor edge ware and minor creasing. The records have been pressed in black vinyl and drift between the grades of Ex and VG. The records have been pressed so that side 1 & 4 are on record 1 and sides 2 & 3 are on record 2. This is so that they can be played on a stacking system; sides 1 & 2 play then you flip them over on the stacker and play sides 3 & 4. The original white inner sleeves had seam splits and were damaged so they have been replaced with new white inner sleeves. The running order is laid out below:
Side A:
- And the gods made love
- Have you ever been (to electric ladyland)
- Cross town traffic
- Voodoo chile
Side B:
- Little Miss strange
- Long hot summer night
- Come on (Part 1)
- Gipsy eyes
- The burning of the midnight lamp
Side C:
- Rainy day, dream away
- 1983….(A merman I should turn to be)
- Moon turn the tides….gently, gently away
Side D:
- Still raining, still dreaming
- House burning down
- All along the watchtower
- Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)
The records were graded using a Linn Adikt cartridge combined with a Gyger 2 stylus through an audiophile system. For grading definitions see the bottom of this advert.
