Description
Hello and welcome to my auction.
Up for sale is a copy of the highly sought after Electric Ladyland by The Jimi Hendrix experience (on the extremely rare Track label!)
I assume you are all familiar with just how desirable, collectable and rare this piece is. This simply is a piece of iconic musical history, and easily one of the best albums of all time.
This is what you might categorise as a 'top bracket' record - the ones that traditionally sell for the considerable amounts. (especially with the booming vinyl resurgence happening!) I feel personally, although I'm no expert, that this looks to be a good little investment as well as collectors piece!
Anyways, let's get straight to it...
CONDITION (Rare Record collectors guide grading criteria - please familiarise yourself with the grading system to understand the grade)
Cover: overall, I personally feel, that the cover is reasonable for its age and should be acceptable to a lot of collectors. The best way to judge it is to see it yourself, so please refer to the photos. As you'll probably see, it remains useable and sturdy, with no major defects such as huge tears etc. However, it does have a crease in the laminate (which is visible, more so at certain angles than others) there is also some sort of kinking at the bottom right corner where it has been folded two or three times. Please take notice of these. However, all in all I think that a grading of G or G+ is reasonable. Not for those picky collectors, but still a reasonable piece.
Vinyl: Admittedly, I haven't played it all the way through as I don't have time to do so. HOWEVER, I did play a couple of tracks, where the play back was fantastic with very little surface if at all. It sounded simply brilliant. I can't comment on the entirety, although visually, the surface doesn't pose anything that would suggest any major defects. All sides look like they have been respected - clean and free from any of those nasty scratches. There is only a couple of fairly faint, wispy cosmetic hairlines here and there on a side or two, that are probably just sleeve removal. I am inclined to grade this as EX. An excellent example, and I haven't seen many surfaces in as good condition as this one.
I will post as soon as I can, and will try my hardest to ensure it is sent in secure packaging (UK only). The reason the item will not be accepting returns is purely because I have had trouble in the past doing it that way, sorry about this. Nevertheless, I shouldn't think that I have graded this too unfairly at all! I think the lucky winner should be in harmony with what I have graded it at.
Thank you for looking.
Please, if you have any questions ask I will hope to respond as quick as I can.
