Firstly, this copy has a UK 1st pressing gatefold sleeve. However, both discs are not from this pressing originally. It is the complete album though. LP 1 consists of "Electric Ladyland Part 2" LP. This is essentially the LP from the individual UK pressing of this album released in 1968 (613 009). (Side 1 and Side 2 were issued as "Part 2" when issued individually. The 2nd LP appears to be from a 1969? pressing. It has both Side C and Side D on it. As stated, it is the complete Double LP.

This copy has a heavyweight fully laminated gatefold sleeve. This has the "blue text" printed on the inner gatefold. This indicates a genuine UK 1st pressing sleeve. The sleeve is printed by "E.J. Day". Both records come with their original generic polythene lined company paper inner sleeve.

LP 1: As stated, the 1st LP is actually the "Electric Ladyland Part 2" LP. The two albums were released to purchase individually in the UK in 1968. The 1st part of the double LP was issued as "Part 2" individually. It is Side 1 and Side 2 of the "normal" double LP. The catalogue number is "613 009". The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has matte black & silver "Track" labels. The matrix numbers are 613009 A-1  1  2 and 613009 B-1  1  2. These are machine stamped in the dead wax. Originally there was a "8" at the end of the catalogue number. This has been over-stamped with an "9".

LP 2: As stated, this LP seems to be a 1969 UK pressing? I'm not certain about this. It consists of both Side C and Side D. The second half of the double LP. The catalogue number is "613 008". The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has matte black & silver "Track" labels. The matrix numbers are 613008 A-1  1 and 613008 B-1  1. These are machine stamped in the dead wax. Originally there was a "9" at the end of the catalogue number. This has been over-stamped with an "8". Also, for some reason the labels on LP 2 have been poorly stuck on. This appears to have been a pressing error at the time. Please see below for more details.

Although there are some issues with this copy, in short, it has a UK 1st press sleeve. It is the complete Double LP too. I have some other rare & collectable UK 1960's and 1970's Prog, Psych, Rock etc...LP's for sale. So please see my other listings.


Gatefold Sleeve: There is mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, very mild or very minor hairline rubbing wear on the bottom edges on a few areas. There is some light, mild or very mild hairline rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not too noticeable under a strong light. There is a 3 cm area of more moderate hairline rubbing wear on the front spine edge. This is at the top spine area. There are a few pin-head, or smaller, bits of rubbing wear on the spine face. There is some laminate peeling on the spine face on some areas too. This is mainly at the centre area. Otherwise, the spine is fine. The inner gatefold is in very nice condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on the left hand panel on the inner gatefold. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on the front and rear sleeve on some areas. Overall, Very Good+ condition

Vinyl 1: There are two very light 5 cm hairline surface sleeve rub marks on Side 4 (Side 2). These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Otherwise, there are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The original inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. Side 3 (Side 1) is in Very Near Excellent condition. Side 4 (Side 2) is in Very Good++ condition. Overall, Near Excellent condition. The Labels are in Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only.

The original polythene-lined company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good minus condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There is mild to more moderate fading. The inner polythene has come unstuck along one side. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall, and Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. It only really notices in the very quietest places, and never overpowers the music. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.


Vinyl 2: As mentioned, the labels on this copy have been improperly stuck at the time of pressing. This is on both sides. This has caused some "wrinkling" or creasing on both labels. There is also some "glue run" which has partially dis-coloured the dead wax on a few small areas. This is only at the outer perimeter of the labels on a few areas. Leaving only a dull, or "cloudy" appearance. They are nowhere near the playing grooves. It does not affect playback at all. There is also a more moderate 2 cm surface mark at the start of "Side D". It is quite noticeable, but it doesn't feel to the touch.

Otherwise, there are a few light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The original inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. Side C (Side 3) is in Very Good++ condition. Side D (Side 4) is in Very Good condition. Overall, Very Good+ condition. The Labels are in Very Good minus condition. As stated, they were poorly applied to the vinyl at the time. This has caused some wrinkling/ creasing on both labels. Otherwise, mild spindle wear.

The original polythene-lined company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or more moderate ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall, and Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. It only really notices in the very quietest places, and never overpowers the music. Overall, a very decent audio copy.
