THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE ELECTRIC LADYLAND
First pressing, Blue text Track Records No 613008
I HAVE RELISTED THIS DUE TO MISTAKE IN THE LISTING , VERY SORRY FOR ANY IN CONVENIENCE CAUSED
I am selling this and many more Jimi Hendrix LPs over the next month on behalf of my late friends wife, I have played the album on an old murphy record player that I borrowed not the best I know but I needed some way of listening to give you an opinion of how it plays as i no longer have a record deck any more, First I would say, I think this great piece of history could do with a good clean, The sound as my son described it as like sitting in a concert while listening to Voodoo chile slight return, even on the old murphy music centre I must admit I was quite impressed for a 40 odd year classic, There is some what I would call static crackle in quieter areas here and there on side A and D which I Didn't think detracted from the experience there are no skips or jumps, On the very first track which is very short a matter of about a minute and entitled and the gods made love has a lot of crackle, I would like to stay on the safe side and class the sides A and D as very good
Sides B and C static crackle in places there are no jumps or skips and a few superfical surface scratches which don't cause any skips or jumps staying again on the safe side I would say, very good, The cover is in what I would class as very good condition for an over 40year old classic piece of history, Please look at photos for a better idea. HAPPY BIDDING GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU FOR LOOKING
nothing to do with the records but just a wee Jimi memory, back in 1967 0n november 27th my old friend and I went to the whitla hall in belfast to see Jimi Mitch and Noel I was wearing a top hat with raven feathers that cost me my weeks wages all of £5.00 second hand. and Jimi sent a dj out to ask if he could borrow it , Jimi wore it at the start of one of his numbers , at the end of the show I went round the back for my wee hat and Jimi beckond me in and I sat down beside him while he pored me a drink of wine and gave me a slice of his birthday cake, Jimi offerd me his hat in exchange for mine, i said no way this cost me my weeks wages, what a fool I was, I spent about twenty five minutes sitting beside Jimi and all the othe musicions who were all really great guys, what a real nice cool guy Jimi was, i cant remember what was said i think i was mesmerised i ate the cake drunk a couple of plastic cups of wine poured by Jimi, i never got his autograph and i never had a camera, who did in them days, so no photo, but what i did get was a great memory of being in the company of the master, my hero , not bad for two wee 16 year old factory workers from belfast. So heres to Jimi for the 27th, Happy birthday Jimi I hope you dont mind me sharing that with you. all the best Paul
