Description
This is from my own collection I am not a dealer, in the next few months I am selling off part of my collection, some rarities and collectable, no filler! Thanks for looking!
This is Jimi Hendrix rarest 1st press from 1967 Album in MONO!
ever so few remain "crazy!"
Please ask Questions on any aspect of this record!
we will try to accommodate...
we can see its had a busy 49 years but plays through well with no skips or jumps!
Please note that this album is complete and original 1st UK Black Track pressing and is priced for its rarety and attraction to collectors rather than for its condition
this is nearly a 50 year old vinyl 1st pressing!
its fair to see this as a "collection filler" for someone who can wait to find a bettter vinyl...
if you are looking for a VGC+ or Near EX dont buy this, see our other listings..
Jimi Hendrix second album on Track released in 1967 , recorded April, May 67 in Olympic studios London , this followed "are you experienced" in the same year as Jimi was required to produce 2 albums for Track in that year, Jimi was playing and recording in London almost every day so this was no problem for the experience.
This is a Good "filler copy"
There are scratches on both sides , light and heavier , hairlines and removal marks and scuffs under strong light, this is the original iconic Black UK Track label from 1967 , played through well on the Rega3 with lots of pops and clicks
This is not a MINT or Archieve copy it has been played a lot but a great affordable buy for any collector, this Jimis second track recording from 1967 it is now harder to find than the first record ... here it is under £80!
The original UK mono copies from 1967 are now so hard to find in this condition you can see £300+ is not unusual , here for less than £80 is a bargain....until you find a better vinyl?
The record "Good Condition"
This is a mono copy and sounds awesome and easily our favourite over the stereo copies.
A1 B1 matrixes
This is a first press "good", no writing or stickers on labels, there are surface scratches both sides, hairlines a few spindle lines there are some removal scuffs and hairlines under strong light no skips or jumps on our Rega 3.
In Good condition only with lots of scratches and scuffs from sleeve removal and general light scratching, over the years, bear in mind this is a 49 year old vinyl record! it has hairlines and crazing to the vinyl under light which we tried to show in photos. side 1 EXP track has a lot crackle at the start after it gets a little better, plays through with no skips or jumps.
Nice fat pre oil crisis 60s vinyl wow ! very flat on the table, test played on 2 decks wow great audio.just lots of pops and crackle in the quieter passages between tracks.
So thick and fat vinyl..very flat on then table.
See pictures in the listing you can see the surface lines on the record.
There is some static crackle in quieter passages and intros ,
Plays clear enough sound may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some background static is noticeable in the quieter passages.
The Cover
Good condition
Been kept in a PVC sleeve, from a smoke free home.
Bright vibrant colour no writing stickers or tears, there is a fair bit of spine wear , see photos in listing.
There is historic repair to part of the laminate gone in Jimis hair on front cover with the card (see photo) on the card. not so bad its done in keeping with the sleeve and only obvious when you examine close.
the inner pictures have some discolouration in the centre fold line (see pictures)
Having done it's job over 49 years the sleeve has little wear at corners but no visible ringwear at the rear (see photos)
No splits or tears, colours are good and not a lot fading, the thick card holds up well, no writing , names or stickers.
on the whole a good sleeve and a collectable vinyl to upgrade later. there is some rounding to corners . spine is not broken but is fraying (see pictures)
another great EJ day (London) sleeve. long lasting incredible how they built these back in the day...
This is a good sleeve no serious rips or tears, some fraying on the spine and rounding the corners after its 49 years..
