Please see my 100% Ebay Rating. This Hendrix album and nude cover is the best "unsealed copy" that I have ever seen. THIS PIECE IS GORGEOUS! Both records sound great on my audiophile-grade hifi system. There is very little surface noise. On Watchtower for example, I would describe the sound as clean and robust with nice deep bass notes and with an open and wide sound-stage ..... Mitchell's bass drum punches through nicely on Voodoo Chile .... the low-end opening of Rainy Day thunders through on sub-woofers. This one has much better sound quality than I have heard on any of my other Hendrix Ladyland LPs or CDs .... remastered or not.
I am suspicious of grading, but I would describe this album as near-mint. Both vinyls are clean, black and glossy with no blemishes at all that I can see. Also, both records are FLAT. The cover is tight, sturdy and VERY glossy also, with no fingerprints or wear-spots. There is a tiny paper tear spot on the very bottom and top of the spine ... quite normal, even on sealed copies. In very BRIGHT lighting, the slightest bit of ring-wear can be seen on both the front and back. (Note: the white spots shown on the top & bottom edge-photos of the cover are NOT tears. They are part of the "cover-art" photo. This album will come with a heavy duty archive quality clear outer sleeve and the original English inner sleeves as shown in the photo. They are crisp like new and have no tears.
If you have been looking for a sealed copy of this great album, which you will be opening and enjoying yourself anyway, I would strongly consider this one instead. In addition to the accurate information above, it has been cared for by an anal audiophile. The number on the album is #2310269. Please advise if any questions.
