Description
This is a poster advertising Jimi Hendrix at the Fillmore 1968. This is one of the famous Hapshash series of posters from the late 1960s by artists Michael English and Nigel Waymouth. Seemingly Jimi commissioned this poster himself, and is not an official 'Fillmore' poster. It is however an official Hapshash poster, and rare in the fact that it is the ONLY poster they did for a USA gig.
The poster is black light reactive and measures approximately 20" x 30". It is a true silk screen print, each colour being applied separately. The gold area of the print is true metallic and adds a real dimension to the image. Condition is superb, with no discolouration or creases.
The Hapshash series included posters for bands such as The Who, Pink Floyd, Arthur Brown and others.
This is on of a number of undistributed posters found with the family of original printing agent TSR, with the aid of the late and great Alf Bicknall, chauffeur for the Beatles in the sixties.
This is a NO RESERVE auction..... highest bidder WINS!
This poster has sold in the past up to £300 !!!

This is one of the last few I have available of this poster. Possible mild creasing to the edges, but otherwise mint condition and stored flat since new.
