Up foe auction is the Jimi Hendrix 2010 remaster of his live performance at the Woodstock music and arts fair August 1969.I always loved Jimi's performance at Woodstock the music itself from the original festival records set 1 & and set 2 through different iterations through the decades from bits and pieces to the entire set on bootlegs. The set though beset with technical issues and a less than stellar performance by the backup band loose and raged to say the least was very special and always intrigued me the different song versions and great solos from the setlist .I never much liked Purple Haze but this version is sizzling and pulsing with a powerful tempo .Hear My Train A Comin is relentless, Jam Back At The House an improv. that punches you in the face One of the best Voodoo he ever recorded and the generational iconic Star Spangled Banner, and the guitar wizardry in the laid back Villanova Junction. The Band was anything but tight but Jimi was inspired that morning. I purchased this LP set just three months before my hearing collapsed rather suddenly in September of 24 forcing me to sell a 55 year record collection so when I say it was only played once , the old cliche one reads all the time in these ads , in this case it really does apply. Again another cliche, Just Like New.
