Description
Jimi Hendrix MONO ARE YOU EXPERIENCED LP ORIGINAL PRESSING 1967 USA press
- "Are You Experienced" Reprise R6261
Vinyl is a USA pressing as seen in the photo. In Mono, with the original tri color Reprise label.
- The vinyl is in EX (excellent) condition. There is very thinly dispersed scuffing, not visible in
ordinary room light. One must use special lighting or look at it in bright sunlight to see the scuffing. It plays very nicely. Confined almost entirely to between tracks there is a bit of ultra soft surface noise. I also heard 2 light schlooping sounds before Purple Haze, the first track on side one, and a few
very soft clicks during the fade out of I Dont Live Today the last song on side 1.
- I aquired the album in the album cover shown in the photograph which is not in great shape: with alot of masking tape on it and a seam split of about 4 inches at the top oof the spine and a few other obvious signs of age. It is also clearly a Stereo cover. I don't know if any mono copies of this album were shipped inside stereo covers, but that did happen from time to time in the 1960s when Mono pressings were still fairly numerous. If that happened here, this cover would be the original cover. It certainly looks and feels old enough to be, but I have no way of knowing for sure.
