Monterey Pop Festival 1967 Concert Programme

This is the last of the Hendrix-related concert programmes that I have been lucky enough to own down the years and in many ways it's possibly the best. If you know anything about Jimi Hendrix, then I don't need to tell you the importance of this concert to Jimi's career (personally, I wish he had never attended but that's another story) and indeed the careers of several other artists, for whom Monterey would be so important.

A legendary concert event by any standards, Monterey is often cited as the embodiment of what the 1960s were meant to stand for and it does now have an iconic status that elevates it over possibly every other "mind blowing" festival of the time, including Woodstock. As such, this item is of particular interest to anybody with an interest in the major social, as well as musical, developments of the 1960s.

Here's the clincher - the programme is in Mint condition, each and every page. It is a 10 x 8" in size and contains 70 pages. It is choc full of colour pictures and articles on all the artists and is such a pleasure to read. I have deliberately avoided bending the pages back to get a scanner image of the inside - take it from me, this is a beautiful item. If you win it and think otherwise, I will give a full refund. But you won't, it's that good.

Bottom line stuff - I paid £300 / $500 dollars for this 10 years ago (collecting Jimi Hendrix is why I'm broke!) and I am not prepared to let such an historic and one-off item go for my usual stupidly low opening bid, although I am still running a big risk, having no Reserve. Having said that, if you think £80 is a lot to ask for an item like this, you really shouldn't be reading this page. No offence, but this item is about as desirable as it could possibly get!
