Description
The autograph is written on a corner of what once was an A4 piece of paper, it measures 9cm by 5.5cm. it reads: 'To Robert, stay kool and be groovy, Jimi Hendrix'. (although when in the frame you cannot see the 'To Robert' section of the paper).
I have owned this autograph since 1992 having bought it off one of the biggest Hendrix enthusiasts in the South West of England (he sold all his memorabilia due to a divorce, including an ultra rare red vinyl 'Cry of Love' LP!!).
The previous owner bought it from 'Destiny One', a well known memroabilia shop in Exeter, and the autograph comes with COA from that shop signed by the proprietor Peter Rice (who has since retired). In the mid-nineties i had the autograph inspected by a friend of Caesar Glebbeek (editor of the Hendrix magazine 'Univibes'), it was of course written before August '69, due to the fact that it has 'experience' written underneath the signiture.
The autograph has been kept in a plastic sleeve & has been in the same picture frame since i have owned it. It has faded slightly and as you can see & the paper has gone a bit brown over time, although I have always kept it out of direct sunlight.
