Very rare Double LP by The Jimi Hendrix Experience called "Electric Ladyland" and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK 2nd Pressing on the Track labels with the correct "autochanger" matrices and labels.
This double album is extremely rare and sought after. What makes this version on the original Track label rare is that this is a strange hybrid between the first and second press. from 1968. This has the "2" end matrices in correct form on sides B,C,D but the original upside down 1 matrix ending and also the scratched hand corrections to side A show. This seems to be a hybrid or transition between the original first pressing designed for normal running order and then the 2nd press that was changed to suit new autochanger record players. So labels were updated to show A/D and B/C sides configuration and "2 Record Set" added but matrices which tend to be properly machine stamped in correct form on these versions are not correct on Side A and have hand scratched changes. Other sides are all 2nd corrected press.
The Cat. No is 613 008/9 on the 2nd press Track Labels (see picture) and is a Stereo pressing (there were NO Monos).
Cover is VG- with some wear to laminate on edges and some more significant damage to spine where shelf removal/handling has caused some loss of glossy image where not laminated. Fully laminated gate fold. Vinyl x2 vg condition some marks and light scuffs/scratches noticeable scuffs (long scuffs but light and not affect play) on side B- not feeable or significantly affecting play. Only issue is feel able needle dig/scratch on a few grooves at end of track 1 (Little Miss Strange) Side B which causes a couple of skips. Suspects with some effort this could be repaired and jumps removed. Otherwise only surface noise in parts. hand corrected matrices on Side A. Rest are machine stamped in correct form. Original inners.
Tried to show the needle dig/scratch on photos but very hard. Can be felt and causes skip for about 3 to 4 revolutions. If have been able to repair these type of scratches before so you may be able to stop it skipping. Please ask if any questions. Cheap start price.
