Vintage Jimmie Rodgers 10-inch 78 RPM shellac record on Victor Records, catalog #23811.
Side A: “The Land of My Boyhood Dreams”
Side B: “Southern Cannon-Ball”
Classic early country recording by Jimmie Rodgers, the influential “Singing Brakeman.” “The Land of My Boyhood Dreams” was recorded in Dallas in 1929, while “Southern Cannon-Ball” was recorded in Louisville in 1931. The performances were paired on Victor 23811 in 1933.
Record presents nicely for its age with good remaining surface gloss. Visible light-to-moderate scratches, scuffs and normal handling/play wear are present. Labels remain attractive and clearly legible. No obvious cracks, major edge chips or other significant physical damage observed.
