Description

This is New Jazz Records 8293, Jimmy Forrest Soul Street, a purple label, original mono issue of this classic record with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG(+) condition showing  marks on both sides but playing quietly throughout. The cover has edge wear but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show light spindle marks.   This was my own "play" copy until I upgraded at considerable expense. This is an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this beautiful original mono issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondeck LP-12 with the mono button engaged.
