Released in 1963 in the States as "One Of Mine" (the liner notes refer to it by this title), this is the UK release on Sue (Island Records) ILP-908 called "Gospel Time".

I bought this brand new on February 23rd 1965 for £1 9s 11d at Imhofs record store in New Oxford St. as can be seen from the original sales voucher (included in auction). I was really disappointed at the time that they didn't have Jimmy's first album "I've Got A Woman" in stock until I heard this! It has to be one of my all time favourites.

The record has a few scratches so that it skips in 4 places (at 7, 20, 23 & 44 minutes into the album), there are 3 clicks at 13 minutes and slight background crackle at 9 & 15 minutes. Otherwise the sound is excellent. Listening through it for these flaws still made my hair bristle! It is truly brilliant.

The sleeve is in excellent condition considering it's not laminated. No tears or marks except some unfortunate selotape stains.

I never thought I'd ever part with this treasure but I'm emigrating so it's got to go.
