Description
Up for sale is a very clean copy of Jimmy Smith ?– At The Organ, Volume 3. Deep groove label reads "Blue Note Records, 767 Lexington Ave NYC". "RVG" and "ear" inscribed in run-out groove.
Vinyl is (visual) VG+/VG++. Hairlines, scuffs. Retains some gloss.
Cover is M-/VG++, edge-wear, corner wear. All seams intact (see photos for details).
VPI cleaned.
I play-graded this one.
Side 1: Plays and sounds great with some light surface noise/light ticking in some quiet sections. First track has a tick through much of the track due to a light scratch. No loud pops or clicks.
Side 2: Plays and sounds great. Some light surface noise/light ticking in very quiet sections and in between tracks. Some louder ticks for much of track 2. No loud pops or clicks.
From a collection I recently purchased from an 83-year old record collector. His record shelves had plexi-glass doors in front of them which explains the amazing condition of the sleeves. He also took incredibly good care of the records. Follow my listings for more M-, mono Blue Note, Prestige, Pacific Jazz, Verve, Contemporary and Riverside LPs I'll be listing in the coming days.
