Jimmy Smith ' Back to the Chicken Shack ' BLUE NOTE BLP 4117 (USA) mono NY label - rec. on April 25, 1960 - original 1963 issue - back cover has the address 43W 61st - on trail-off (dead wax) has stamped 'Van Gelder' and has the ear Jimmy Smith : organ - Stanley Turrentine : tenor sax - Kenny Burrell : guitar - Donald Bailey : bassSide 1 : Back at the Chicken Shack (J.Smith) - When I grow to hold to dream (Rodgers-Hammerstein) Side 2 : Minor chant (S.Turrentine) - Messy Bessie (J.Smith)
- Visual grading : record is VG+ full lustre has some wispy lines and few very light unfeelable scuffs. Has a very light warping at the beginning of both sides. Clean labels with minimal spindle wear
- Playing grading : record is VG+ plays well with loud and clear sound. Has very light background noise in the first minute of both sides possibly due to the above mentioned very light warping. Rest of record plays EX with only few light occasional ticks
- Cover grading : cover is EX- has very light wear to corners, edges and to spine which has the titles fully readable. Back cover has very light age yellowing
