Description

Hard to find live recording first released in 1980 but was recorded live at Small's Paradise in 1958. There were two other Jimmy LP's from Small's released in the 1950's but these stayed in the can until 1980 for some reason. Liner notes speculated that this night was recorded only in mono and the other nights in stereo. Mono pressing. Blue Note LT-1054. Killer lineup with Art Blakey playing drums on 3 of the 4 tracks. Lou Donaldson, Tina Brooks, Eddie McFadden and Donald Bailey drums on one tune. Original shrink wrap on cover. Two BB sized cut outs on cover. Vinyl is super nice and glossy. I am rating it Mint Minus. Play graded. Side One looks N. Mint and Side Two has a few very light inaudible surface scuffs. Records plays with dead quiet vinyl. Original cool Blue Note inner sleeve. I believe this LP has been out of print for a long time with no current reissues.
