Description
Joan Regan, The Girl Next Door, UK DECCA 10" LP
Joan Regan, The Girl Next Door.
1954 UK pressed Decca Records 10" mono LP, LF 1182.Vinyl in mostly acceptably clean condition. Marks around the spindle areas suggests plays, but not to the point of excess. Vinyl surfaces have a few light hairline marks and scuffs, some of which are more immediately visible. Most are superficial, although a few create some problems. The A side has a few very soft and isolated ticks, with a patch of more continuous low to mid-level ticks on "Till They've All Gone Home". Side two also exhibits some ticky patches, with a period of prolonged mid-level ticks during "Two Kinds Of Tears". On both sides the ticky patches are fairly isolated, and otherwise both sides play without underlying background noise. On the whole, listening pleasure of the two mentioned tracks is diminished somewhat by background ticks, but the other tracks can all be listened to comfortably without background noise proving a major distraction. Large parts of the LP do play very cleanly. Surfaces are clean and not dulled. Labels are clean and undefaced both sides.
Sleeve in mostly clean, bright and unmarked condition. A little minor whitening to tips, but otherwise extremities are clean and undamaged. Backflaps are undamaged. Tiny tan stain to bottom centre of rear of sleeve, but otherwise rear is clean and unmarked with just the lightest of age/handling darkening and a hint of storage ringwear darkening. No tears, creases or inscriptions.
