Description
"Joaquin Bros. Play Polkas and Chotis" was released in 1975 by Canyon Records (C-6139, stereo) in Phoenix, Arizona as part of the Popular Dance Music of the Indians of Southern Arizona series. The band was made up of Papago (now called Tohono O'odham) Indians and formed in the small town of Covered Wells, AZ. They play a form of instrumental dance music popular on the reservations at the time called chicken scratch, or waila.
The album grades EX with minimal wear and background noise. The cover is also EX, still in the original factory shrink wrap, with a bit of wear along the back left side, a small spot at the back left bottom corner.
