The never-before-released Jobriath material which makes up 'As The River Flows' is culled from two 1971 sessions. One took place at New York's Electric Lady (with guest appearances by members of the original Broadway cast of 'Hair'), and the other in Los Angeles with the legendary production team of Richie Podolor and Bill Cooper (Three Dog Night, Steppenwolf). This release follows Kieran Turner's well received (at various film festivals) documentary 'Jobriath AD', which tells the tragic story of rock's first openly gay major-label artist, a glam-era victim of overhype and prejudice.
