The Jodimars

Later / Cloud 99

Ultra Rare 78rpm

This is the rarest of the Jodimars 78s. I couldn't find barely any information of this particular 78 up until recently when one has been listed on discogs for the very first time. The store selling it says they have the only one known to exist (as shown in screen shot photograph)... Well I have a second!!! 🔥🔥🔥

The store on discogs has listed there's for £1000 + P&P and is supposedly in VG+ condition 😱

I am a 45 collector and dealer, and I'm not an expert on 78s. The materials that 78s are made of are hard to keep clean and maintain, which is why some of them are so rare as most have been destroyed over the years. I can't guarantee an exact grade BUT I can guarantee it plays through with no Skips and Jumps, it looks visually pretty clean with minimal surface scratches but of course has the famous 78 "Hiss" as do all 78s 😎

There is a small chip on the "deadwax" as photographed, and hence the lower price. The deadwax is on the edge of the record where  there is no music played - so this does NOT effect the play 😀 and it comes in an original 1959s Capitol Records Sleeve.

I've never seen another one for sale in my personal experience.

The Jodimars were formed by the original 1955 Bill Haley's Comets Joey D'Ambrose (JO) Dick Richards (DI) & Marshal Lytle (MARS) 🎶

I've had this record in my possession for approximately 3 years. I am a 50s Fanatic and collector of 50s and 60s Rockabilly, Rock n Roll and Rhythm & Blues. The Jodimars are one of my favorite bands and I set out on a mission to collect their records. They didn't do too many. I mainly collect 45s so I managed to get them ticked off the list. I do have a small collection of 78s too, so I started looking out for their music on 78, but I don't play them on this format so it's kind of a shame that I have them to be honest.
