Description

From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic rock music history. Joe Cocker / Neville Whitmill 1969-70 ACETATE. Joe Cocker – Delta Lady. Neville Whitmill - Deep River. Whitmill was a South African recording artist with the band Square Set in the late 1960s and early 70s, with (at various times) soul, psych and blues-jazz bent. Deep River was a track off his 1970 solo album, Insight. This Acetate was possibly sent to Australia for consideration as single releases. Cocker’s Delta Lady was released 1969 in Australia via Festival, cat number FK 3298. It doesn’t appear that Whitmill was released in Australia or New Zealand. Record in Very Good Plus condition and sounds great. Cocker is, of course, well known but Whitmill is something reallyspecial. Pity he didn’t get much attention in Australia. Audiodiscs paper sleeve.
