Description
EmArcy MG 36025, deep groove, text in blue on the back cover. Includes Gordon, trumpet; Charlie Rouse, tenor sax; Junior Mance, piano; Jimmy Scheck, bass; Art Blakey, drums. 6 tracks. Fine hard bop/bebop performance. Top performances by all with magnificent work by Gordon. Very rare to find in this fine condition. Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean with light aging on the back cover. Fine overall condition. Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There is some extremely light discoloration to parts of the vinyl surface. This does not effect the sound. There are a very few , light surface rub marks on both sides. There are a few crackles at the beginning of Track 1, Side B with a few clicks on that track as well. Balance of the record has only an occasional click, most barely audible. Side A appears to have surface noise. Most tracks play as Mint. The record may have been played only 1 or 2 times. Very fine condition. Note: I have indicated a VG++ as part of the overall rating. This takes into consideration the very few clicks described. I have played the record through in its entirety to grade the quality. Audibly checked.
