Description

Blue Note Records’ Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Reissue Series is produced by Joe Harley and features all-analogue recordings, mastered from the original tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl and presented in deluxe gatefold packaging.
Mastering is by Kevin Gray (Cohearent Audio) and vinyl is manufactured at Record Technology Incorporated (RTI).

Captured for posterity over three nights in November 1985 at New York City’s legendary jazz club, The State of the Tenor: Live at the Village Vanguard features some big beasts - Joe Henderson on tenor saxophone, Ron Carter on bass and Al Foster on drums. 

Blue Note now re-issues the first half of this live double album as a stand-alone.
