Classical lps, 33rpm, mono

 

This Columbia recording (33cx 1165) of Johanna Martzy and the philharmonia orchestra performing the Brahms Violin Concerto in d major op.77 (under the direction of Paul Kletzki) is extremely scarce:

 

This blue Columbia label lp (with gold type) is bright, a few gentle surface marks (barely noticeable)on the run off groove but the playing surface itself is in excellent condition (minus) it has obviously been well cared for!

 

The sleeve as you can see is bright and in excellent condition : there is a little peeling of the plastic laminate at the edges – and the cover bears faint evidence of once being inscribed with a three digit number (although the ink has faded to be very faint) the rear of the sleeve is pristine!

Side 1: first movement – allegro non troppo- cadenza (by joachim) tempo 1

 

Side 2: second movement- adagio/ third movement- allegro giosco, ma non troppo vivace- poco piu presto
