Description
A charming and typically self-deprecating message is on the cover of this LP, dedicated and signed by the Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman in his twilight years when he was suffering with Parkinson's disease. Message appears to read "To Jean and Andrew (surname?) with the affection(?)of this ?old man (with an arrow pointing at his photo and some other words and marks which I cannot make out), (signed) John Betjeman 1980. He died four years later.
The cover is discoloured/grubby in some of the white areas, with other marks of handling and age. The original inner sleeve, complete with printed poems, is creased in the corners. The vinyl record itself appears to be in very good condition, but has not been tested.
