Description
This is Impulse Records A-77, John Coltrane A Love Supreme, an orange and black, ABC-Parmount label, original mono issue of this great recording with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+) showing a few light marks. The record plays quietly throughout except for some very light background crackle audible on the bass transition on side 1 and part of the bass solo on side 2. The glossy gate-fold cover has a loss on the spine (see photo 5) and some light edge wear on the open end on the back but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. An original inner sleeve is included. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this classic record. This is part of my personal collection that I will be selling (slowly) over the next few months and years.
