Description
John Coltrane. A Love Supreme. ORIGINAL 1965 MONO pressing on Impulse! Records. Gatefold sleeve. The MONO mix is THE way to experience this masterpiece. Honestly, need I say more than describe this copy you desperately want to own? Good luck to the highest bidder!
The vinyl: If it weren't for a few clicks (due to a mark) during the bass solo on track one, this would EASILY be NM-. I'm almost tempted to still rate it that way. BUT, yes, there are a few soft clicks for a few revolutions at that point, so I'm going to conservatively grade this as a whole a strong VG++. Still has that sheen as if it had just been pressed days ago.
The cover: The actual front cover has a kind of indent/scratch (see pic) but it's not horrible. I've always stored the LP "the other way" since the back cover (which looks great) is the same exact image. Original gatefold cover of course. Again, I rate the cover a strong VG++, so close to NM- in my opinion.
