Description
This is Impulse A-90, The New Wave In Jazz, a orange and black label, original mono issue with Van Gelder in the dead wax. This features one track each from Coltrane, Shepp, Ayler, Grachan Moncur and Charles Tolliver in live performance from a concert on March 28, 1965. The record is in near mint condition with only the lightest of surface (paper sleeve) marks, showing almost no signs of use. The glossy original gate-fold cover (and original inner sleeve) has a bit of edge wear and a name on the inside, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent but side 1 is attached off center. A superb copy of this original mono issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
