Dear friends of Jazz- and Vinyl Records,
offered for auction is the following LP: John Coltrane - Ascension (Edition 1) - Impulse A-95 - No "Edition II" in dead wax (indicates that it is the very first Edition 1 with different music compared to the approx. only one month later released Edition II, which became then the "regular" Ascension on reissues in the following decades), Orange label with black rim, van Gelder in dead wax, glossy folder sleeve - RARE VERY FIRST 1965 ORIGINAL USA MONO PRESSING !!! - Edition 1 copies are very hard to find, only a few hundered copies were pressed and delivered to stores before Impulse stopped their release.
